SKILLS FOR HOUSING
Overview:
The unit aims to give learners the understanding and skills to progress at management level in housing. It does so by helping them to become more ‘reflective practitioners’. It emphasises the importance of relating individuals skills and performance to the effectiveness of the organisation as a whole, and being proactive in their own professional development.
Learning outcomes:
1. Understand the concepts of being a member of a profession and acting professionally
2. Understand the skills required to be a housing professional
3. Be able to assess own professional performance
4. Be able to manage own professional development
DURATION: 10 weeks, average of eight hours per week on a course
QUALIFICATION: Level 5 Diploma in Housing
