Training: Innovative Practices in Homelessness



Whether you’re brand new to homelessness planning or a seasoned veteran, this course is for you. Offered as a two-part workshop, the following topics will be covered: contributing factors to homelessness; health conditions associated with homelessness; Canada’s National Housing Strategy; program responses to the COVID-19 pandemic; system planning; emerging research on staff burnout and PTSD; harm reduction; the growing use of modular supportive housing; innovations in the management of emergency shelters; and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the sector.

This training includes: Required reading to prepare for each meeting, two live meetings (4 hours total), and a short assignment to engage with the content.

Date and Time:
November 2, 1 to 3 pm ET and
November 9, 1 to 3 pm ET (You attend both meetings)

Time commitment:
Plan to spend 6-10 hours to do the reading, attend the meetings and complete the assignment

Cost:
$200 for CIH and CHRA members
$300 for non-members
