We offer a range of courses that cover the many aspects of managing and operating housing in Canada. Our courses are delivered online for each of our professional designation programs. Taking a course doesn’t commit you to pursuing a designation.

CERTIFIED HOUSING PROFESSIONAL COURSES

For people new to housing and/or working front-line positions


Housing professionals operate within a particular social, political and economic environment which has shaped the way that social housing is delivered in their community. This course deals with the context for social housing: where it fits in the broader housing system and in Canadian society.

They need to ensure that it is well maintained to protect the capital investment and improve the quality of life of their residents. For housing professionals to develop informed, integrated and sensitive approaches to the delivery of housing services and supports in their localities, they need to understand the broader context of housing. This course examines social, economic and political developments that have impacted the provision of housing in Canada.
